Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before purchasing, installing, or using the Xeno Essential or Xeno Platinum Smart Laundry Hanger. By proceeding with your purchase or installation, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Effective Date: This document applies to all Xeno Smart Laundry Hanger units purchased from Xeno Pte.Ltd. (“Xeno”, “we”, “us”) via xeno.com.sg or any authorised dealer. Last updated: June 2026.

Products Covered

These Terms & Conditions apply specifically to the following Xeno products:

Both products are motorised ceiling-mounted smart laundry hangers designed for residential use in Singapore. These terms govern the purchase, installation, use, warranty, and after-sales service of the above products.

Warranty Coverage

Xeno provides the following warranty for both the Essential and Platinum Smart Laundry Hanger models, effective from the date of installation:

Tier 1 — Full Product Warranty: 3 Years

Covers all parts, components, electrical systems, structural hardware, drying functions (heater, cool air fan, UV lamp, ioniser where applicable), LED lighting, remote controller communication, and app connectivity (Platinum model). Any defect attributable to manufacturing fault or material failure will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer.

Tier 2 — DC Motor Warranty: 5 Years Total (+2 Years Extended)

The DC Motor receives an additional 2 years of extended coverage beyond the full product warranty, for a total of 5 years of motor warranty from the date of installation. This covers motor mechanical failure and electrical burnout under normal operating conditions.

The warranty period begins on the date of professional installation by an authorised Xeno technician or authorised dealer. No warranty registration form is required — coverage is automatic upon installation.

What the Warranty Covers

  • Manufacturing defects in materials, components, or workmanship
  • Motor failure under normal residential operating conditions
  • Electrical failure of the lifting mechanism, drying functions, or LED lighting system
  • Malfunction of UV sterilisation lights (both models)
  • Ioniser failure (Platinum model only)
  • App connectivity issues caused by the product’s built-in Wi-Fi module (Platinum model)
  • Remote controller malfunction due to a product-side defect
  • Structural failure of the aluminium alloy frame under rated load conditions
  • Safety stop sensor malfunction (obstacle detection system)
  • Heater dryer malfunction attributable to product defect

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty is void or does not apply in the following circumstances:

  • Damage caused by improper installation not carried out by an authorised Xeno technician or approved dealer
  • Overloading the unit beyond its rated capacity (35 kg for Essential; 40 kg for Platinum)
  • Physical damage caused by misuse, accidents, drops, impact, or tampering
  • Damage resulting from exposure to water, moisture, or corrosive environments beyond normal indoor humidity
  • Damage caused by use of unapproved power supply, voltage fluctuations, or electrical surges
  • Consumable components, including remote controller batteries and any accessories not supplied by Xeno
  • Cosmetic damage such as scratches, discolouration, or surface wear from normal use
  • Failure due to unauthorised modifications, repairs, or disassembly of the product
  • Damage caused by installation on non-concrete ceilings or surfaces not structurally suitable for ceiling mounting
  • App-related issues caused by third-party platform changes, firmware updates outside Xeno’s control, or user device incompatibility (Platinum)
  • Loss of voice control functionality due to changes in third-party voice assistant services (Platinum)
  • Damage from natural disasters, fire, flooding, lightning, or acts of God
  • Normal wear and tear over time

⚠ The warranty is immediately voided if the product is found to have been tampered with, disassembled by an unauthorised party, or repaired using non-Xeno approved parts. Any such action releases Xeno from all warranty obligations.

Installation Requirements & Conditions

The following installation requirements are mandatory. Failure to meet these conditions may affect warranty validity:

  • A reinforced concrete ceiling must be available at the intended installation location. Installation on plasterboard, timber, or false ceilings is not permitted and voids the warranty.
  • A dedicated power supply socket (220V–240V, minimum 7A) must be accessible within the installation vicinity.
  • Installation must be carried out by an authorised Xeno technician or approved dealer. Self-installation voids all warranty coverage.
  • A site inspection is strongly recommended prior to purchase to confirm ceiling suitability, load-bearing capacity, and power supply availability.
  • Sufficient clearance space must exist for the unit to lower safely to its maximum drop height (160–1200 mm for Essential; 310–1250 mm for Platinum).
  • For the Platinum model, a stable Wi-Fi connection (2.4GHz band) is required for app and voice control features to function. Xeno is not responsible for features that are unavailable due to network limitations at the installation site.

Xeno reserves the right to refuse warranty claims where site conditions were not disclosed or did not meet the above requirements at the time of installation.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

  • Contact Xeno via email at info@xeno.com.sg or call +65 9475 1722 during business hours.
  • For urgent technical issues outside business hours, contact our 24-hour emergency hotline at +65 6222 7570.
  • Provide proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) and the date and location of installation.
  • Describe the fault or defect in detail. Where possible, provide photographs or a short video of the issue.
  • A Xeno service technician will assess the claim and arrange an inspection or replacement at Xeno’s discretion.
  • Xeno reserves the right to repair rather than replace a defective unit under warranty, provided the repaired unit meets original product specifications.

Warranty claims must be made within the applicable warranty period. Claims made after expiry of the warranty period will not be accepted under these terms.

Safe Use & Operating Guidelines

To ensure safe and effective operation of your Xeno Smart Laundry Hanger, adhere to the following guidelines at all times:

  • Do not exceed the rated maximum load capacity (35 kg for Essential; 40 kg for Platinum) at any time.
  • Do not place the rack under load while it is in motion (rising or lowering). Wait for the rack to stop fully before loading or unloading.
  • Keep children away from the operating area when the rack is in motion. The unit includes obstacle detection, but this is not a substitute for adult supervision.
  • Do not operate the unit if you notice unusual noise, burning smell, sparks, or visible damage to the wiring, motor, or frame. Disconnect power immediately and contact Xeno.
  • Do not hang items that may drip heavily onto electrical components, particularly during heater drying mode.
  • Ensure the power socket is switched off before performing any cleaning or maintenance of the unit.
  • Do not cover the drying vents while the heater or fan is in operation. Ensure adequate ventilation in the room.
  • The unit is designed for indoor residential use only. Do not install or use outdoors or in areas exposed to rain, strong wind, or extreme temperature.
  • For Platinum model users: ensure your smartphone’s operating system and the Smart Life app are kept up to date for optimal app performance.

⚠ In the event of a power failure, the unit will stop operating in its current position. Do not attempt to manually force the rack up or down during a power outage. Once power is restored, the unit will resume normal operation.

Purchase & Payment Terms

  • All prices listed on xeno.com.sg are in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
  • Promotional prices and discount codes are valid for the stated promotion period only and are subject to change without notice.
  • Orders are confirmed upon successful payment. Xeno reserves the right to cancel any order that cannot be fulfilled due to stock unavailability.
  • Installation fees, if applicable, will be communicated separately by the authorised dealer or Xeno representative prior to confirmation.
  • Bundle pricing and promotional codes (e.g., XENO50, XENO100) cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.

Returns & Refund Policy

For returns and refunds applicable to Xeno Laundry Hanger products, please refer to Xeno’s Refund and Returns Policy available on xeno.com.sg. The following general conditions apply:

  • Products that have been professionally installed are not eligible for return on the basis of buyer’s remorse.
  • Returns for defective units will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to Xeno’s verification of the defect.
  • Products must be in original condition with all original accessories to be eligible for a return where applicable.
  • Refunds, where approved, will be processed via the original payment method within the timeframe specified in Xeno’s Refund Policy.
  • Xeno reserves the right to repair, replace, or refund at its sole discretion for any approved warranty or defect claim.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in Singapore:

  • Xeno’s total liability to the customer shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product as paid by the customer.
  • Xeno is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the product, including but not limited to damage to clothing, property, or any loss of use.
  • Xeno does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of app-based or voice-control features (Platinum model), as these depend on third-party platforms and connectivity services.
  • Xeno is not responsible for any damage to the property (ceiling, walls, wiring) arising from installation carried out by a party other than an authorised Xeno technician.

Intellectual Property

All product names, branding, designs, trademarks, logos, and content associated with XENO and its Smart Laundry Hanger series are the intellectual property of Xeno Pte. Ltd. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of Xeno’s branding, product imagery, or content is strictly prohibited.

Privacy

For the Xeno Platinum model, the Smart Life / Tuya app may collect usage data to enable smart features. Xeno’s collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy available on xeno.com.sg. By using the app, you consent to the applicable data practices as described therein.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

In the event of a dispute, Xeno encourages customers to contact us directly at info@xeno.com.sg to seek an amicable resolution before initiating any formal legal proceedings.

Amendments

Xeno reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be available on xeno.com.sg. Continued use of the product and services after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
